What to gather

Most decisive first. Gather these before you contact anyone.

  • The signed contract and every estimate, including superseded ones
  • All change orders, and a note of any change nobody documented
  • The manufacturer's warranty registration and the contractor's own workmanship warranty
  • Attic photographs during rain, dated
  • An independent roofer's written inspection
  • The permit and any inspection results from your building department
